Mediguide specialises in the provision of surgical terminations of first trimester (under 12 weeks) pregnancies by suction aspiration under local and gas sedation anaesthesia.

 

Mediguide does not provide medical terminations at this stage as the medications used are not yet approved for use in Australia and are considered experimental, there is no Medicare rebate, the treatment involves at least two attendances and if the induced miscarriage fails a follow up surgical operation may be required
